Kamil completed his PhD at the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland, focusing on the characterization of wave-agitated bioreactors and their application for cell culture intensification. Afterwards, he became an assistant professor at the Warsaw University of Technology and started his research on the application of transgenic roots to produce valuable secondary metabolites. Kamil also spent 5 months as an intern at the Medical University of Warsaw, where he scaled up protein production in BY-2 tobacco cells using disposable bioreactors. He is interested in cell-free systems and their potential in natural product production, and researching new plant metabolic pathways. In his free time, Kamil enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, cycling, and listening to scientific podcasts.
